Here's hoping we can get together a group for photographing wildflowers around Houston, Austin, San Antonio area. A weekend perhaps - in March ?
Suggestions sought and welcomed

Any leads on where to go? I have a few in mind. I am in south of Houston. Any good time and place to meet and work out the details?

Depends where you are. I did Willow City loop last year, then up to to Llano and over to Kingsland. I don't know about anything East of Austin.

Nocturnus, I loved your b&w of the bridge. You are correct, not much east of Austin.
Any info around Lake Buchanan? Any other location?

Thanks.

I prob did drive close to the Lake, but wasn't looking at the time. I'm going to plan this years trip a little better. Might include a night up at Inks lake. I'd love to get some early morning shots or very late afternoon. Maybe I need to take a trip out to check things. I don't remember anything from last year.

One thing about Willow City Loop, do they not like people stopping to take pictures. I plan in going with someone else who can drive my car further up the road while I'm taking pics.

Depending on timing, could be interested - March is much better (at the moment). Subscribing to thread to see where this goes.

Good idea but impossible to accomplish with my schedule. Good luck and look forward to seeing some photos.

Yeah. I at least need to try to plan what weekend I'm going to be going. Last year it was 2nd weekend in April and it was pretty good (I have to assume, it was my first trip for this). Just going to wait and see how the flower pop up around Austin.

Well, I've seen a few wildflowers popping up here and there along the roadways. I'm still planning for an April trip. Just have not picked a weekend yet.
