No doubt Mikey will answer for himself but im sure I read a post on another thread where he said he was taking shots at different focus distances from the same setup then blending in post for that effect. Whatever he does its pretty damn cool Sony α7RV | Leica Q2

Thanks to advice of some users including NCHANT, I decided to sell my 24-105L and pick one of these up instead. I haven't had the right weather conditions to do any serious astro work yet, but I did test it in the park yesterday. I used liveview to focus...I think this is something like f2..or maybe f2.8. I love the perspective it creates when shooting pets. Image hosted by forum (726179) © chexjc [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. I love the perspective it creates when shooting pets. I like it so much that its now made it tricky to decide which gear to bring along to portrait sessions. I'd consider bringing it along for dog sessions, but manual focusing with dogs is NOT easy. The right amount of treats and this was possible. I could see using it for engagement session types, but I'm afraid of the perspective distortion. I just want to find more uses for it! ![]() Hosted photo: posted by chexjc in ./showthread.php?p=17544154&i=i127064577 forum: Lens Sample Photo Archive Nice shot! I replaced my focussing screen with one that is easier to focus when using wider than ƒ2.8, made a HUGE difference for focussing through the viewfinder! 6D x 2 | TM SP 35mm ƒ1.4 | 50mm ƒ1.8 | 85mm ƒ1.8 | 24-105mm ƒ4L USM | 135mm ƒ2L | 200mm ƒ2.8L II | 17-40mm ƒ4L | Sy 24mm ƒ1.4 | Sy XP 14mm ƒ2.4 Flickr
