I see you have the 24mm Mk II listed in your gear, how do think the Samyang lens compares as far as IQ. Not so much concerned with build quality. Ive have been considering this lens for quite sometime but have not seen any pictures or videos shot with it.

Sorry forgot to remove the Canon. The Samyang is a little softer in the center. But sharper in the edges. My consern is the coma performance. The Canon is terrible. You don't see it on the Samyang.

Here is one image at f/1.4, iso 2500 and 5s
No adjustment done here. The stars are almost perfect. Some of the stars in the outer parts have turned oval. But that is nothing compared to the Canon 1.4 that I managed to sell. Compared to the Canon this lens 10x better regarding coma and 1/3 of the cost.

Here is another. Only adjusted the highlights, shadows, whites, black and added a little clarity in Lr4.1 No sharpening applied. Cropped out the sky since it was too much of it. I think it turned out good at f/8 I think it was, iso 100 and 5s.
I had to return this lens since the aperture didn't adjust. I could twist and turn but it didn't change.

Check the Marketplace section. There's a link for a code to get this lens for $499.

This is exactly why I ended up renting the Samyang 35mm over Canon's when I was shooting the Pereseids this past August; very little—if any—coma in the corners!

Here's some comparisons showing exactly that. (external link)

Still, for around the same price I think the Canon 24mm f2.8IS might be the better choice as the Roki 24 is pretty weak at anything wider than f2.8 anyway.

After paying an arm and a leg for the Canon EF 24mm f/1.4. I am tired of wasting money on Canon L lenses. Looking forward to the Samyang Tilt/Shift

Yeah, the 24mm f1.4L is pricey as hell. The non-L 2.8IS is in the same range as the Roki.

I'm also looking forward to the Roki tilt/shift. Even if it's soft wide open, chances are good you won't be shooting landscapes that way.

I dont think many do, have been waiting for sometime to see pictures taken with this lens. Reviews all seem to conclude that it is pretty soft at 1.4 and doesn't start to get sharp until f2.8.
