Manual focus can be a pain, but good for practicing :D looking forward to getting an AF-C ship for this lens.

F1.4 is very usable! Just a tiny isn't bit of coma in the corners and that's it. But f2 is awesome :) tiny crisp stars from corner to corner

I've read a review or two somewhere that actually claim this is better than the 24Lii for astro due to lower amounts of chroma.

I too am curious to see what's next for Sigma though... I'm also not positive I'll love a 24mm prime... I do enjoy my 28mm's though so I probably would.

I already have the 24tse mk2 and samyang 14mm but would like an astro lens for using on gigapan , 24mm is about perfect focal length but the tse is f3.5 so a bit slow.

So any new 24mm prime has to be usable at a wider aperture, tbh 2.8 won't be tempting enough.

The canon 24L I tried needed 2.8 ...
