Which 1.4 and 2x tc is everyone using with the sigma. Canon mkii or sigma. Any difference between the two? I started to look through he sigma thread, but with over 115 pages I couldn't find an answer.

Using both my Sigma 1.4 and 2X, also used a Canon 2X III, may possibly be slightly sharper but pretty insignificant really.

I'm using the Kenko Pro 300 DG 1.4x TC and the Sigma APO EX DG 2x TC with very good results. I wouldn't mind testing Canon's Mark III TCs but have bo access to them.

I'm using the Sigma 2xTC with mine, it works very well with it.

I don't have the 120-300, but have used both of my Sigma EX TCs with my Siggy 300mm and 70-200mm lenses. The 1.4x is nearly invisible, the 2x slows the focussing a bit and reduces contrast and sharpness a tad.

Any benifit of using the canon 1.4 II or 2X II vs the sigma? I am not even thinking about the mk III's.

Next week I'm getting a Canon 2x III. I will (as always) do a thorough comparison between it and my Sigma, which is pretty good too.

I researched both canon tc's 2xii and 2xiii. Most people say the iii is little sharper around the edges and the same in the center. So I went with the ii. But none of what I read related to this lens. I'm hoping for my wallets sake you say your siggy 2x is about the same. Its just seems way to much for the 2xiii. My wallet looks forward to your test

Yeah, my wallet is also praying for the same :)
If my Sigma is the same, I'll keep it for sure.
It seems like the biggest advantage of the III series is for those who own the new, MkII telephoto Canons.

We'll see..
