I wasn't the wedding photographer, I just took a couple during the reception when I wasn't too busy being a groomsman

mix of Zeiss 50 MP2 and 35L. I think the bottom was the Zeiss actually.

I had a lot of fun renting those lenes

The first shot was the 35L, at 1.4

It is a tricky lens to get perfect focus at 1.4 on the 5DmkII's AF system, especially in low light. This one is actually focused slightly in front of her eyes, but a little bit of post-processing for contrast and 'structure' combined with a careful resize to 1024px helps to hide the issue.

I'm sure with a 1-series the AF would be much more spot on, as well as with some addition practice on maintaining my posture and not moving between locking focus and the actual shutter actuation.

I thought this as well. Great composition. If only the candle was lit and the flame was in the shot.

So how did you carry your 5D with you?

If I am going by plane, I pack a pelican case with everything I need. If I'm going car I'll bring a soft sided case like a Crumpler. Usually I bring 2-3 lenses with it and a flash. If I know I'll get to do a number of deliberate landscapes I'll bring all my filters, if not I just bring a couple. Also a Benro Travel Angel tripod and remote.

Of everything though the Crumpler Industry Disgrace strap has been my favorite purchase. It not only is sterile so that your camera's brand and model isn't in bold letters around your neck, but it is more comfortable.
