We headed out to Kalaloch, on the central Olympic Peninsula, just ahead of the recent snow storms. It was a fun, if cold trip, and I got some fun shots. Hope you all enjoy!

The day before the storms:

Nice!

Did you happen to see me out there? I was out there shooting for 7 days but staying in the campground.

Not having spoke to, but there were several other photogs I saw wandering around out there. Those storm squalls were nuts, weren't they? :)

Oh do I miss Kalaloch Lodge....one of the best breakfasts I had on my entire trip up there. I am almost certain I stayed in the exact room I see in picture 2 when I was there. Some good pictures, it really brings me back. I need to get back there asap!!!

thanks for sharing. I think they are all just ok shots beacuse most are flat and lack dynamics. Next time try bumping contrast when needed and also try shooting multiple exposures and then combining them as to get a more dynamic range of lights/darks/colors (no i dont mean HDR)

Not a bad view to have from your cabin!! Great varied set, it realy gives an idea of the area. It looks like a great place to get away to and even better if you have a camera :)

Thanks :) It can be nice, at the right times of year. Mostly I prefer the more rugged, northern end of the peninsula; but we got some decent shooting weather between storms.
