OMG.. i saw this post and man.. i'm intrigued. i have the BR7 strap now and i think cinch will actually do better at adjustment on the fly. also, it's conected at two points instead of just one on the BR7.

this looks very good idea..

The Cinch is a better option over the BR imo. Now, if Luma can make a solution for two bodies. :)

i hope there's a way to make sure that if one of the connection point goes, the other will still keep it on the strap around your body.

Mine came in today! I opened it up to take a quick look (had to go to work:p) and the quality is first rate! I'll post some pics of it on my camera. :)

I'm still eagerly waiting for mine. grrr:mad: You guys posting about receiving yours is making me frustrated. :(

What are the odds of that though? The Cinch is no different than any traditional neck strap in this respect.

well, i didn't think the BR would break.. but i saw on the other thread the hook part broke.

since then, i've been paranoid to use the BR7 since it does dangle around on the strap when i walk. this cinch one doesn't look that bad..

I'd like to see more pictures!! :) I'm hesitant to order one although I think it looks like something that would work well for me. Haven't used my BR for months now..

see here

i usually lug around my 24-70 or my 70-200 on the BR7. since seeing this.. i've been very paranoid as when i go out shooting, i have to watch my kids too. so it does dangle around quite a bit.

I have the BR4 and it dangles below my seat when cycling. It twists and bangs into the bike frame. I can shorten the length of the strap to get it more up to waist level but this causes problems when shooting in portrait mode. Too bad the BR4 isn't as quickly adjustable in length as the Cinch is which is why I'm looking into Cinch as a replacement. At 70$ (without shipping which probably won't be cheap) it is on the expensive side though. I'm currently sticking to reading the reviews to find out how comfortable people find this strap (especially the cyclists among us). The BR4 is a great strap imo.

With BR-7 + BRAD undearm attachment or RS-Sport (including slim version) you can just lock camera on you back using sliding plastic bumpers.

Start at 1:25 for a demo.
Cinch is a great concept except that it does not provide quick release solution and shooting off the hip is 3 step action - tug the buckle to extend, shoot, tug again to move camera back into carrying position. Definitely not as fast as BR.
