As simple as that, assuming it has comparable sharpness at f/1.0 than the current 50L at f/1.2.

NOTE: That is a hypothetical new improved version of the old 50/1.0. Not even a rumor as of now ! But please vote !

Are they really making this? Seems unbelievable considering the high ISO performance of today's bodies. Considering I sold my 50mm 1.4, no, I wouldn't buy it.

nope I wouldn't, it has been discontinued so it would become a paper weight when it's time to service it, I would take the 1.2 over it even if I can get the 1.0 for half the cost of the 1.2.

You mean a floating lens element, right?

I would look at a new 50 if it was better in some tangible way.

I'm extremely confused. There are rumors of this lens releasing? If so and it's under 3k I'd save up for one
