Good on her, Andre! For the others: this place is a bit like "Downing Street" in London or Capitol Hill in the US. So even having been away from the Netherlands and from the Hague in particular for over a decade I still recognise that sort of place... :)

Correct.. It is the political center of our country. On the sides a few Ministries are housed. One of witch is Ministry of General Affairs (http://en.wikipedia.or​g …Affairs_%28Neth​erlands%29 (external link))
The building on the left on the pic is 'De Ridderzaal, where our queen reads the annual 'Speech of the throne' (Troonrede in Dutch), comparable to the 'State of the Union' by the US President.
