I often take shots of Egrets, but rarely get close enough to get really good shots. A couple of days ago, I was at a local marina, attempting to get some pelican photos, when I suddenly realized that I had walked right up to a Great Egret, who was more than happy to pose for some shots. He (she?) even moved to the sunlight without me even asking, and posed for me for about an hour, before I finally left.

Thanks for looking, and CC is appreciated.

You are indeed lucky to have had such an interesting and cooperative model sandwedge!
The 2nd image is very high quality, and OMG did I LOL at #5. I personally think that #5 would be a better avatar than #8, although they both have significant "grin factor".

Great shots. I like number 6. Looks like he's having a bad hair day. Thanks for sharing.

See if he's for hire, he sure needs to come here and maybe the egrets here can learn how to be a co-operative model. Great shots
