Here's some shots from my last game. My 'canes did a good job shutting down Ovi which was good but at the same time meant not a lot of pictures of him unfortunately.

As always C&C please.

That Capitals sweater sure is UGLY!

Great pics, horizons in #5 and #6 look a bit off? Brooks Laich looks like he's going to get smoked by a giant puck in #6... :)

Drew:

Nice work as usual. If only you were the photographer in the photo hole on the other side in #5. I bet he got a great shot. I know this was a pivotal play in this game (winning goal?) but sometimes when bad luck conspires for us to be on the wrong side of it and not capture any of the key elements (puck, faces etc.), we must simply sigh, shrug our shoulders and hit the delete button!

The horizons are off because of me. I messed up on the horizon and didn't leave enough room around the frame to rotate and crop. Therefore they have to stay this way so I don't lose any key pieces (like the stick of the defender in #5).

Yup the rest of the series was deleted but with both players in the air and the goalie looking over his shoulder, I just couldn't bring myself to delete it. Thanks though!

All of these were shot with the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 HSM (Non-OS)

That was against the Penguins and I shoot the Hurricanes not the Caps, so I was not there for that game.

Great shots. Do you also shoot away games for the canes or just home?

Just home games for now but I am working on getting to some away games to shoot. Probably just the close ones like Washington for right now.

Very nice work. I've shot many different sports and have found hockey to be one of the most difficult.

Thats pretty much what everyone I talk to says due to a number of different factors. You just have to know and anticipate the sport. I play hockey and have watched all my life so I have a very good understanding of the game.

Great shots again Drew, the only comment I would have would be on #1, the crop should change a little, either bring it up just a hair so you don't cut off the top of Vokouns helmet, or bring it in tighter so it doesn't jump out that it's cut off, otherwise, real good stuff!

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately it isn't a crop so the helmet is actually just cut off and can't raise it up at all.
