Nice stuff. That's what I call close up shots.

Great shots! Since you asked for critique, I'll give some, but keep in mind that I would be really happy with these pictures (I'm a bit of a beginner).

1. The ducks face is in a bit of a shadow, and I think I would have composed it a bit differently - more duck, less space to the right. Also, while the look on its face is great, it is facing away from the camera.
2. I would like a bit more space above the model's head, and the legs not cut off.
3. and 4. Great poses, awesome detail. I have no critique on these two at all.
5. What is that thing! cool looking bird. I find the pigeon in the foreground to be distracting.

Great shots and thanks for sharing!
Chris

Thank you for the comments!
1 came out a tad bit softer than I had hoped, so I tried "recomposing"/cropping to fix it, but as you can see, cropping can only do so much
2. It was my first time playing with my 70-200, and I wanted to fill the frame. The duck was standing on a storm drain pipe, which would have ruined the shot imo
3. three was the result of one of my multishots (I should have focused on the eyes!)
4. this was my winning shot. the best of the series imo.
5. This is an Australian White Ibis, they are as common as seagulls here. as for the pigeon, I couldn't crop it out - the shot would lose too much detail ;(

All nice shots with 3 and 4 being the ones that are a notch above the rest.

Regards,
Chuck
