I often hear them, see them fly by but never get close enough for a pic, till today. It's a busy BG but it's the best I could get. It was interesting getting to him with snowshoes on but for well worth it.

I too love the texture the birch adds to the capture.

Getting w/in 30' of one of these on snowshoes (not the most graceful method of travel) is impressive in it's own right; pulling off such a great shot even more so!
