Hey all
So now that I've upgraded to CS5, most of the noise reduction is automated in ACR, and so far so good. However, I'd still like an action that lets me apply smart noise reduction to an image. The plan so far is to create a composite layer, duplicate it, apply a high-pass filter and gaussian blur, and then to apply NR only to the middle-gray areas. I'd rather avoid the Find Edges tool, I just prefer high-pass. If possible, I'd also prefer to avoid smart objects as they slow down my computer immensely. How would I go about that action?
