35L for my daughter birthday party?

I used my 35L on a 7D for my daughters 1st birthday last year. Set it to f/2, and shot away. Worked great. No flash needed, wide enough for what I needed, but not too wide for general usage. Nice and small too, made it easier to get quick shots of groups of people that would have been harder if I was messing around with flashes, etc.
