With product shots, if your intent is to sell, you want to showcase the product in a way that the photo makes the potential buyer say "WOW!!" when they see it. Plus, from my own experiences with eBay, the picture says it all, which is why I always put the best possible pictures I can on there. As for dropping it in water, I don't think that's necessary, just simple, effective, shots of the front and back, strap/clasp, etc.. It's nice to watermark the better shots on there, not only does it prevent theft but it also makes you look like you give a crap about giving the "customer" a good show. Jan 26, 2012 18:09 | #12 I know this is a bit contradictory of the posts above, but I have found a good clear armature shot is not a bad way to go. When I see a product shot on eBay that is too professional I get the feeling that it is a "stock" picture and not what you are getting. I would get some just "snapshots" included in the gallery and be sure to explain that all the pictures of the exact item up for sale. Also explain that you are into photography. -John

I'd either reshoot for focus on the brandname and put it into the shot with PP or clone it out completely. 1D-III with stuff to stick on it:
