Sorry for the goofed title, hit enter before I was ready.
DPP'd this on home PC, but when I went view it at work to show friends it looked too dark. Not if my work monitor is too dark or if my home monitor is too bright.

I'm afraid of blowing out the details of the clouds in his glasses if I go any brighter. 7D, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM, 580EX, 50 1.4 USM, 2̶4̶-̶1̶0̶5̶L̶ ̶f̶/̶4̶, S̶i̶g̶m̶a̶ ̶5̶0̶ ̶f̶/̶1̶.̶4̶,̶ 4̶3̶0̶E̶X̶

If you brighten the highlights more you're going to start to look texture and detail in the skin and over expose the skin. Highlight retention is a problem for digital. The shadows should be lightened some but that doesn't mean you need to also brighten the highlights.
