Sorry for the goofed title, hit enter before I was ready.

DPP'd this on home PC, but when I went view it at work to show friends it looked too dark. Not if my work monitor is too dark or if my home monitor is too bright.

A little dark, but then again it looks like warm evening light so it may be pretty accurate.

accurate schmaccurate ;)

if you're trying to look professional, it doesn't matter how dim the original conditions were, people want to see well exposed shots. They want to see their wedding reception brighter than life... etc.

Check the histogram out of CS5 levels. Move the right point (white point) left to the black graph.

Still dark. Definitely adjust it in the histogram. White point 230, mid point 1.15 for me looks about right.

I'm afraid of blowing out the details of the clouds in his glasses if I go any brighter.

You should be able to isolate the contents of the lens fairly simply...it is already framed.

No, it's looking good now. If you brighten the highlights more you're going to start to look texture and detail in the skin and over expose the skin. Highlight retention is a problem for digital. The shadows should be lightened some but that doesn't mean you need to also brighten the highlights.
