We were hiking in Maraposa Grove in Yosemite during Thanksgiving and came across this unusual site. Suggestions appreciated.

...Not unusual if it had just snowed. This winter's been pretty dry. I can appreciate the attempt but it's just not very interesting. You'd got a mushroom dead center partially covered and completely surround by snow. The snow (at last on my monitor at work) has a blueish tint to it, check your white balance.

I would have tried to get lower, maybe even layed down to get a different perspective. Sure I would have probably gotten snow in places I'd rather not have snow but I think it would have resulted a better composed photo. This looks like a PnS snapshot mainly due to the compositon and perspective. You did manage, however, to capture an image of something you wouldn't expect to see.

You'd probably be get more response if you embedded your photo instead of linking to it.
