i'm currently in the process of setting up my site and using a wordpress template which is finally getting to the point where i'm happy with the most of it. however one thing that is nagging me is that the images i'm inserting into my test posts are able to be clicked on and expand out in a new page which looks pretty rubbish tbh.

is there any way to prevent this from happening? i assume i'm doing something wrong at the image upload/insert stage but i have no idea what!

any ideas?

keith

When you click upload media, click show, and under link url, hit none. That should do it. Lemme know if that helps.

I tried it and it still opens a new page when I click on it.

are you using the default wordpress gallery, or a plugin like simplemodal that is creating a popup "overlay" effect of the image?

if you can't disable it within the panel itself (ie leave a URL box empty in gallery interface) then you may need to alter the plugin code to not link the url...

Do not forget that a user can always take a screenshot and have the picture you are trying to protect. The right click blocker only stops the kiddies. :-)
