Climbed my ass up onto this rock, setup everything for sunset and then clouds moved in and ruined my plans for sunlit rocks. The clouds were pretty though!

I wouldn't be too disapointed, that is very nice.

Todd,

It's still a very nice photograph. However, I must admit...had the sun peeked under the clouds, it would have made for a spectacular photograph!

not so bad at all

A bit of PP would really bring out the rocks and clouds in this one.

Todd,

I'm excited to see some of the work you did from your recent trip. How was the trip overall?

Thanks Byran, the trip was incredible. It was cold (I was sleeping in my car the entire trip) but actually, the temperatures were a bit warmer than I expected them to be.

Weather was great during the days, although I got clouds at night for a few of my nights in Arches, which really hampered me, and I didn't come away with a lot of the night shots at Arches that I was hoping for. But, I'll go back again sometime this year to try again.

I did get good conditions out in Canyonlands and Valley of the Gods though... I've posted a few from there, in other spots.

Here's some highlight though, in case you missed em ;-)a

Spectacular! Several nights sleep in your car paid off to capture these images. How's your back? LOL

Too bad it did not work out for the way you envisioned it, but still a very nice result. The series is also good.

Claire, my back is so screwed up anyways, sometimes sleeping bent in a car helps! LOL!

Man, what crappy photos Todd. I'd think about changing careers! (LOL...Okay, I'm JUST kidding :D).

That first one, while not what you were trying to capture, is actually pretty dang cool and the rest are just awesome. Arches NP is an amazing place to just 'go' and have fun shooting pictures!

Ha, thanks Pete... I'm not going to quit my day job, that's for sure!

Yes, Arches is (sorry for the over used term, but it really does apply here:) magical. I could spend months of time in that place.
