I'd be inclined to steer clear, it looks fishy to me. Often if it looks too good to be true - it is!

If you are in the UK check http://www.camerapricebuster.com/ (external link) for honest competitive prices. Also, give Kerso a shout as his prices are very good and many UK members here can vouch for his service. He's recently got a website on the go too (usually he deals by PM or email or ebay): http://www.flashcamera.co.uk/ (external link)

I have read many of these fly by night places don't have the inexpensively items in stock and make your wait on the phone for a while. Then you get another department trying to up sell you, etc.

First it will be that nothing from the manufacturer in their factory-sealed boxes comes with the body (battery, charger, etc.). Then, btw, it'a a plastic body. And (this all happened to me) you will need lenses since Canons EF don't fit. If, by some miracle, you try to place the order anyway, they will email you in a few days that it is out of stock.

Have you guys ever heard of a website called Camerabox? I bought a lens from them just before they went into administration, and this website has exactly the same design as the old Camerbox website. Very weird.

I'd avoid this place, my bet is they don't have anything you want to order.

Mike, thanks very much for the positive comments. Yes website now running, please do send any prospective buyers and there will also be a discount for paying bank transfer to POTN members in Europe. Regards Ian.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I've added a clearance section to my website. Remember that I can also give further discount for bank transfer. Here's the link so you can take a look.

Thanks.

Just buy from Beach, Adorama, B and H and Amazon.

If you want to know what a deal is, just knock five or ten percent of of msrp, but that's as good as it gets. Don't believe anyone who is discounting by more than ten percent. They are cons.

Thank you. bw!
