Maybe it's a cultural/national thing, but I see very little interest in matted albums; everyone wants the collage approach. At least that's been my experience.

We do both matted and storybook/digital albums and I reckon our clients are split 50/50 on what they prefer, or maybe slightly more in favour of Queensberry Matted albums .... but we end up doing more digital because of the price difference. Queensberry matted albums are stunning but expensive ... especially in the UK.
People buy what you show them at the end of the day though.
I have seen some pretty awful matted albums from other suppliers though, where the matts arent properly stuck down like they are in a Queensberry album so it looks more like a slip in album and I arent surprised people dont choose them.
