Moonrise over Brisbane city last Saturday evening. Three exposures (1/25th, 0.3, and 2.5 sec) combined using HDR Efex Pro 2. There was a bit of smoke around which gave the Moon a beautiful orange glow.

Thanks very much Martin! Yes, it would be impossible to capture an image that reflects the naked eye view without HDR processing.

This was a first use of ACR's 'Merge to HDR Panorama'. Hand-held, three frames wide, by 3 frames 'deep'. Nine RAW files handed over to ACR and it did the rest...

I only bracketed at 1-stop (either side of 0EV). With hindsight, 2 stops would have given me more detail in the sky. Will try that next time.
