Actually I meant to ask about the building and lights .... am in NZ and while I think we have some wonderful architecture and arts - this is something else.

It is indeed a nice architectural glass pattern design and installation. The building is a natural history museum: http://museumatpf.org/ (external link) . Sadly, as interesting as the architecture might be, the reviews are quite scathing for it as a museum.

I captured the image just as the sun was going down and the western light really lit up the glass nicely. Oddly enough, this west-facing facade is actually the backside of the building! Here is another fuller view of the museum (also a 7-exposure HDR processed in Photomatix). The sun had sunk below the horizon in this one, so it is only reflecting the last vestiges of day glow out west:

I'm almost embarrassed to contribute my feeble attempt after scanning through some of the amazing images in this thread. I am just learning exposure blending and HDR, and this thread reflects the style I like. I hope to have time to devote to it after the new year begins. What with moving from the Bahamas back to Colorado, getting into a new house, spending 3 weeks in Africa, spare time has been nonexistent.

Here goes anyway - this is a 3 shot blend, mixed in Enfuse for LR. What I like with Enfuse is that it seems to usually do a pretty good job of aligning the images automatically when they were taken handheld as these were. I have a trial version of Photomatix, but I haven't had time to mess with it yet. Taken about an hour after sunrise in eastern Idaho.

Somehow in the forum software conversion I lost this link and it took over an hour to find my favorite thread. Hopefully this post saves it back again.

Nice use of the fence as a leading line through the meadow Jon. Beautiful image.

I captured this in my neighborhood the other day on a whim. One of the best parts about living in Arizona. Shot on my 5d2 with a 17-40 f/4L:
