My lady and I were at the park on opening day 2012 and what a treat to see all the critters all bunched together in Lamar Valley. I roll alone in Alaska, but we travel together here in Montana. Besides ... we both shoot and seeing double of different images is double the FUN.

Happy trails ~

I Grew up in Montana and have shot Yellowstone numerous times - always alone.
There are times I miss having someone around to talk with but I only have to worry about myself. I can sit in a location for as long or as brief as I want.
Planning another trip this Sept.

While I like shooting alone, this one I would like someone with me. Not for companionship or talk. Someone to drive so I could focus on looking and locating wildlife and being ready when the shot presents.

...

I do most of my shooting alone so I can spend as much or as little time as I want in any situation, but for the reason above, if I were going to be driving through yellowstone or another wild area, I would probably go with someone else. Hiking I would usually go alone.

Alone. Did a two week shoot in Tetons/Yellowstone a month ago. Camped,
hiked and shot alone. Don't know how anyone that's into nature could be
bored in the Tetons or Yellowstone, but if you bring your laptop for photo
backup throw in a car cigarette lighter converter and bring some movies
and earbuds.

The best advantage to traveling and shooting alone is the lack of
distraction and the fact that you can pay attention to hunches that can
offer some incredible images.
Just be Bear aware. Oh and remember the mountain lions and wolves :)
