Hi all.
Went to Richard De Korte Park yesterday for a casual walk.
I was lucky enough to spot this well camouflaged American Bittern soaking sun rays.

AF mode. This time I used my walk around lens, 70-300L and was shooting handheld.
Wish I had my 400 5.6 with tripod.

Very good eyes to spot that bird Kris!
You apparently hung around long enough for it to emerge and go fishing....and allow you to make some very nice captures as well. You'll just have to go back w/400 in hand and repeat this exercise.....c'mon, we're waiting - :)
