Excellent stuff again Mark.

In other news, Jeb Corliss has released the video of his Table Mountain jump which went so badly wrong. Amazing stuff!

You are seriously going to compare an Eizo to a calibrated Dell?....

Colours and depth look fine on both my MacBook and dell screens - both of which are "calibtated" using the same spider 3, but still show images very differently due to gloss etc.

A lovely image Mark - I'm sure you will be fighting downloaders for months with it on 500px ;)

guys, what bank do people use, if they use internet banking etc and how well do they get on with it? at the moment im currently with santander and I really dont like it, ive registered for online banking about 3 times over the past 4 months and ive just given up with it as i just get nothing through the post. I was looking at Lloyds as they offer a mobile app as well which will be great, so yeah any advice please?

First Direct. They actually speak to you when you ring them....

Santander's hopeless! They charged me £130 for being overdrawn when some money was transferred from my Santander cheque account to my "linked" savings account!

I've just sat and watched that, eyes wide open in disbelief and completely managed to ignore a customer walking into the shop!!!

Er! no, I am green that he has the Eizo ;) But was reporting as I find under the conditions that I have. I agree even with calibration, setup and usage conditions (in the case of LCD screens most need to be set to 120cd or slightly less) will affect/influence the "look" of an image. For the record I also use a Spyder 3 Elite.

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Great shots Kay, like Pete said - you've got some really different images there, well done.

Morning all.

Barn owls hunt in the fields next to where we stay in Norfolk - we're off in April so I'll be on the lookout for them for sure  my friend said that someone had seen a sea eagle there last week too? does that sound right?

Hi all, hope it is OK to join in here? I am fairly new to the forum and this is only my 2nd post, but done a lot of reading!

We go to Norfolk too (Stiffkey and Blakeney) and I just managed a shot of a barn owl over the salt marshes last year. Looked more of a distant white owl-shaped dot than an owl but I was just so chuffed to see my first proper wild owl. Will be trying for better this year.

hello, feel free to join the jamboree! :D

I have been looking into some Owl spotting after seeing Marks photos - there seems to be some locations near to me, now I just need to find some free time to go find them!

Suburbia - it would only depress you!

Haven't been brave enough to post any pics yet, I only got my first SLR (600D) in December so am still far behind the standard of most of the pics I see on here. Getting lots of practice though, and hopefully improving.

Do not worry no one bites so just join in when you are ready and do keep an eye on when we have meetups ~ last one was last weekend at the BWC linked here https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1150906 as they are good for sharing the experience and knowledge.

As for Surrey well there are a few of us down this way :D We live just down the road from Wisley...............may go to see the Butterflies on the last day???
