Toyota's the only thing I'd feel safe in 'out there'. It's a dinky car but of course (being a girl) I loved the colour of the Desert Cruiser (or whatever it was called). It looked like a large latte with whipped cream on top - with groovy rear doors that open outward like a black cab.

On the tarmac it took three days to get from 0-60 and was very thirsty but struth, on the dirt it got very happy (as did Jonathan).

I've come to the conclusion that this 'interest in cars' is a male problem. One see's it develop in small boys with their wire model cars, and it never really goes away. Why should men find cars so interesting? A car is no more than a machine, like a washing machine or an iron. But men show no interest in these. You never see men standing around talking about washing machines.

Cindy all the great cars have character something that puts a smile on your face weather it's like the original Mini pin sharpe handling and your bum inches off the deck so it's like driving a go kart or like the E Type surely the most beautiful car ever made plus men do like the sound and speed of the car plus the freedom it gives you.

Then I won't - every motoring article written is automatically checked for Clarkson references - it's almost like spell checking! :( I do like the guy but damn, he makes writing hard!

It's not from one of his columns it was from his Motor World series but I'm sure I heard much the same when I was out there and in the outback you only ever saw Land Cruisers never a Land Rover or Range Rover.

Nice shots Jonathan and Adrian. Like the warmth of the shot Adrian.

Here's one from Canterbury, taken yesterday. I've been surprisingly busy lately.

Only just copied them in and about to sync LR so will let you know shortly..............not forgeting the 52 Project "Water" ;) But boy was that greenhouse steamy ~ I have chucked a fresh Silca Gell pack into the camera bag as a precaution so suck any extra moisture up that may still be hanging around!!!

Edit
~ the condensation for sure, either I could not keep up and clear the front element filter or there was some on the rear element possibly even the sensor AA filter. Oh and my sensor now does need a clean the crud is there at f22 in some of those water pictures :(

Was nice to meet up and I hope Kris did not empty the wallet in the shop and the M25 was as quiet as anticipated :)

Any idea where to get a universal sound card driver from? I brought a cheap card ages ago.. I did have it working, hen my PC crashed so I reinstalled Windows and it's never worked since! I have no idea what card it is and the device manager doesn't tell me either.. I've also scanned the whole PC for everything installed and that doesn't shed any light either! :(

As mentioed above we met up with Adrian & Kris at RHS Wisley to take in the Butterflies ~ got a very mixed bag (damned condensation shwing on a few of the first images :( )

#1 Not the best! But a tightish crop @ ISO 800

IMAGE: http://1stdesignit.co.uk/Wisley25thFeb/Green_20120225-_MG_9928.jpg

#2 I think these are called Owl Eyes for obvious reasons ~ just liked the way this looks almost 3D
IMAGE: http://1stdesignit.co.uk/Wisley25thFeb/OwlEye20120225-_MG_9939.jpg

#3 Swallow Tail (again not the best but OK'ish to share ;) )
IMAGE: http://1stdesignit.co.uk/Wisley25thFeb/SwallowTail20120225-_MG_9924.jpg

#4 Wonder in the eyes of the child
(This was in the none tropical area without the high humidity i.e. an escapee) these girls were hunkered down totally absorbed in the wonder of the Butterfly with one gently sliding a petal towards it. The spotlit pool of sunlight just adds the certain something)

If Windows is not finding it and installing a generic driver your best bet may be to take out and look for Identity markings on the board and or then chipset then Google for same and all being well you should find a legacy driver to try and make it "speak"???

Andy, I can see the HDR but it still looks too flat and lacking in contrast??? Maybe just to much mud in the mid ground?
