Adrian, they dont look that bad. What lense and settings were you using then? Did you use a flash at all? (I tried to look at your exif but its not viewable).
Sometimes the DoF is so shallow anyway that the only way round it is to photo stack (but Im sure you already knew that).

TBH we suspect she was dumped in the woodland near our house in the morning ( i heard some cat cries earlier in the day) then she appeared on our driveway later in the day. There are other mitigating circumstances (that i cant talk about) to why she may have been dumped too..... We will give it the usual 7 days (according to cats protection) and then she is ours if no one comes forward. Atleast shes safe, fed and on my sofa rather than scared and trying to avoid the local foxes!
Sounds like the poor little thing has had quite a tough time. At least she picked the right drive to wander up
Do let us know more when you are able to. If its the breed that I think it could be, they are beautiful cats.
