Speaking of which, here's a very rushed BTS of the Paramount shot from a couple of weeks back:

  2. Paper background with a 3/4 circle of holes poked through. Tin foil stuck to the reverse to stop light shining through the paper. Paper clipped to the Ezybox.
  3. CTO gelled 430EX flash with flag to prevent light spill to the background.
  4. 2xCTB gelled 580EX2 flash high up to illuminate the background, flagged to preven light spill on the foreground.
  5. Mountain.
  6. Red background material hidded from camera view but my aim was to create a bit of a sunset colour to the lower background...not sure if it was too effective!
  7. Blue background material on the wall to the right to keep any stray CTO light from the 430EX colouring the BG.
  8. 5DII + 85mm f/1.8. PW TT1 & AC3 controlling flashes. Star stencilled onto card attached to the front of the lens for the star shapes.

I know its a work in progress so you will make loads of changes, but i would suggest putting the large image spreads on seperate Pages in the wordpress structure.
Use the Posts as short links or news stories to the pages so that you wont end up with endless scrolling or every image on the first page. This will neaten it up, but also ensure that it loads quickly in the future. No speed problems yet, but once you have 4 or five posts up it may bog down with so many images, but i may be wrong.

When you make the speerate pages think of a keyword that people use as a search term for wedding photography on google and then pick a different one for each page title if you can. Google uses the <h1> tags (titles) for search result excerpts but they are also used quite strongly to determine relevance. So if you have a variety of relevant keywords on different you have more chance of appearing in the google SERPS.

Since they are also used in the Google page results ( blue links), make sure you get the relevant info at the beginning of the title and keep them short if you can. That way they will always look good in the search results ( not clipped off mid sentence) and you will likely see a higher click through rate.

Like this below, although the first is arguably too short. You have 60 characters (including spaces) before google chops you off.

This is some easy no stress SEO.

Sorry if this is all stuff you already know, ....:o

haha as if i knew any of that! cheers mate. Have bookmarked your post and will take a proper look at the weekend

Morning all ... did a bit of forum catch up on the train into work ...

Mat - thanks for posting that link with the pics from Japan - really upsetting, but stuff you just don't see in general. Can't imagine what people over there are still having to deal with on a daily basis.

Mike - love the technology shot! Great idea!

As I walked to work this morning, I heard a real rackous (how is that word spelt?) coming from behind a car. So I wandered over, and there was a pigeon pinned to the ground making such a noise ... I couldn't quite see what had it pinned down (my assumption was a cat) so I went closer to see ... and it was a KESTREL which quickly released the pigeon and flew away ... If it'd been a cat, I would have been glad the pigeon escaped, but as it was a kestrel, I think I am sad that I disturbed it!! Is that wrong??

Tonight I am off to hear Mr Packham talk and show some lovely photos ... as he is always a real perfectionist when he reviews photos on Spring/Autumn watch, I am looking forward to seeing his ... !!

Happy Thursday folks ... and those that have gone, enjoy the Club Competition Final

Thanks :) Not read it yet, was Amazon's download of the day a couple of days ago. Only just got the kindle this week - still got a paperback to finish.
