Good Choice Dan - sportier than the CBR125 and a damned site more reliable than the Aprillia RS125.

Where did you buy it from?

Im really looking forward to being able to ride her, passed my CBT and that was all fine, now just waiting for her to arrive
Bought if from a yamaha dealer called Waltham Cross :)

Very nice - im sure you will have a lot of fun on it!

If you are buying kit and want any advice on brands/models etc then give me a shout. There are plenty of brands out there which look really good and have lots of technical names on their info cards but are actually complete sh*te with stitching that will burst as soon as it touches tarmac.

Unfortunately many of these brands are also tied into staff reward schemes so some unscrupulous sales people will swear blind that its the best thing since sliced bread to earn their rewards.

Gloves helmet and trousers are the most important items if you are prioritising budget. Jackets are also important but there are cheaper options that will do just as well. Your hands, legs and/or head are almost always the first to touch the ground.

Ride with the mindset that its a matter of when you crash not if and you will have lots of fun. Falling off is just a part of biking (and it usually happens at slow speeds) but do your best to get kit which will last more than one off and will also keep you in one piece.

Whens the delivery date for the beast then?

Thanks mate, I need some advice with what trousers to get, not sure what ones to go for as I do not want to be roasting in them. Ive got a frank thomas jacket, caberg helmet and some rayven gloves. Are they good brands?

Mum advised me on that mindset aswell so hopefully it will be fine. I think I will be very nervous on it in the first couple of days and then I should start to get my confidence up.

She should be here friday :) I am so excited!

Nice looking bike Dan, just remember that everyone else on the road is a complete idiot and you wont go far wrong.
I have a two piece set of Rhino leathers and some gloves that you are welcome to if they fit.

Here's a few screenshots from the inside of Zenfolio which will hopefully help to answer a few questions:

Price Lists:

QUOTED IMAGE

Vendors:

QUOTED IMAGE

Package creation:

QUOTED IMAGE

I add a couple of quid - selling at £2, £5, and £10 for the 3 print sizes I offer. I don't sell a huge amount from weddings but I do sell a few, some people like the ease of it and as I upload to Zen to get my prints it is easy enough to leave them there for people to buy.

And if anyone wants to use my referral code, it is: 56Y-6CT-79K

Mike thanks that definitely helps

Thanks Adrian. I didn't notice Druids being widened. I only walked as far as paddock bend, then a big grey cloud came over. So I went back to my bag for my wets.

Your panning shots were cool. I wish I had ventured out now.

The inside of Druids was great, walked straight up to the fence and found a space for four of us. Fortunately cam prepared and did not get too wet. Looking to go to the DTMs next.

Looks nice, at the risk of sounding like an old fart remember to start off slowish and watch out for which lines, drain covers on corners when it is wet.

Just been and booked it, well the wife paid after I "forgot" my wallet

A week in Dubrovnik. Nice. Lots to take piccies of and free wifi!

Like your style, we did not get to go to Dubrovnik but would be interested to see what you think as we nearly went there this year.

to be honest I cant be bothered with the hassle of getting prints done as well to make a few more pounds, also ive found with the couples ive talked to so far they have all said they would rather pick and print there own when they want too and dont like the whole photographer package thing so thats the way im heading, just do an online gallery and then give them all the prints on disk..

Know what you mean, for Smugmug which is where I already put my gallery I don't have to do anything extra. I am more aiming at friends and family for sales but will see how it goes.

If you go to the vendor list of products, yes they list canvases plus other things.

Cheers

I Just give one price for the Wedding and the client can do what they want with the prints unless they specifically ask for prints to be done. I also create a DVD with the images and a visual gallery on Blueray which goes down well.

Only time I really sell prints are with Motorsport/Automotive and Landscape work.

I will give it a go, the last wedding I did I sold them a print even though they had the images on DVD. I am hoping I will get some from friends and family but will have to wait and see.

This is what I fear the most living in a town full of Chelsea fans, based on a 2 leg game, a team that is 25 points (or 8 losses) behind the premiership leaders now believe that they are the best team in the country. It's a funny old game ;)

Evening all, just popping in to say hi from hols.
Take care on that bike Dan. Since when did it become a "she" ;)
Saw some red deer today, unfortunately I was driving, pulled over, grabbed camera but they were gone - legging it across the field into the woods. Stunning though up close, they crossed the road right in front of my car. And saw the barn owl last night - flew right past me as I was walking - and again tonight but he was a field away, fairly frustrating. Boat trip was cancelled today cos of poor weather, but rescheduled for Friday.
not looking forward to the monsoon that is forecast for tomorrow!!!
Hope you're all having a good week :D
