@ Dom ~ nice differentiation from the BG but overall for me looks like a performers headshot. Unlike the others you posted which showed her character and "presence" off, this one is for me a record shot ~ sorry and I hope that does not come across as to hard a critique???

Not at all I was trying out some processing and this was a shot Trisha wanted a simple head shot.

Matt and Dennis have been breeding (not with each other I may add)
Mark has pissed just about everyone one off now with the quality of his Kingfisher and bugs shots so we've exiled him to Wales
Royal Tunbridge Wells has taken out a restraining order on Chris for taking too many of it (there's a difference between "interested" and "stalking"
Dom has become a glamour photographer
Wayne is building a neo classical shed roughly on the scale of the old Crystal Palace (I can see it from my house)
Pete is now called Porky Boy
Penel has taken up bird bothering

That's about it really. I'm still the only sane one here

love it, great synopsis JD!

I can confirm the burst river was less impressive than it appeared at 8am this morning, but a small record of the bonkers weather we've been experiencing nonetheless...

amazing innit. I was in Chichester yesterday and drove through some impressive flooding - thank goodness my car is 4WD. forgot the camera, was taking one of the dogs to a specialist vet.

I'd maybe have had her on even a slight angle to camera, rather than dead straight on. But if that's what she wanted, then you did your job Dom ;)

I'm so fed up with getting wet, today we walked in the rain @ 730am, then I went to work in it from 10 - 130pm. Soggy sog sog sog.

Likewise in Chichester on Monday, spent more time sitting traffic not moving an inch, took cross country roads to get there which thankfully had no deep water...............hope the dog is AOK???

As for your being out in the rain, that is one major downside to walking the dogs!

As mentioned a while back we went to the Watercress Line event "War on the Line" a pity the Spitfire never turned up but a great visit with some real characters of re-enactors.

In colour they do not evoke the period so here unusually for me B&W conversions

#1 This guy was sat in the train waiting for it to pull away and the look on his face grabbed my attention - LR conversion that I think works quote well.

IMAGE: http://1stdesignit.co.uk/wotl/1000yardStare_MG_0875.jpg

#2 This couple were chatting and then he leaned in and I got a single frame, this is work in progress as I need to use lots of content aware fill in PS to get rid of the intruding BG stuff but is the rush of the first 'look' at it in LR

More to come eventually ;)

Am in Basel/Stuttgart that weekend. Was thinking about going this Saturday/Sunday but is weather dependent at the moment.

@ Jonathan & Lee ~ many thanks for the votes and positive feedback (and Fave ;) ) I was pleased the way it PP'ed as I very rarely do B&W conversion or indeed any 'deep' PP'ing.

But for me the look on his face was so meaningfull ~ so many folk looking out the windows were smiling and happy because of the fun of the event but his mind I surmise was on deeper feelings????

Don't think I can make that either. Was it going to be Sat/Sun again?

I really like this one. It's a simple, unassuming shot, but the look on her face shows her true warmth.

As much as I like the photo, I can't help thinking of Derek Trotter leaning onto a non-existant bar and falling through. This guy looks like he's about to step into the abyss...
