Ah, I see.

So it's the place that the cool people post their best shots until all the uncool people start jumping on the bandwagon and posting their mediocrity, by which point another (even cooler) photo sharing site will have started up?

not sure about the cool people, im so not in the cool club, but still ive found that a lot of agencies from all over the world look at 500px and pick up work from it, nearly all the wildlife pics ive seen lately in the papers have been in 500px..

I think my G10 problem lies with getting the images off the camera. The eos facility I use for the 450d doesn't recognise it.

So, what's all this with 500px and what makes it better than any other photo repository site? Everyone seems to be using it these days.

Pete, have a read of this http://500px.com/about (external link)
It should answer your question

The bank? It's one of the major ones, I don't think they're less loved or hated than any other bank at the moment.

I only ever dealt with them for my student loans and they were fine enough (until I moved to an offshore jurisdiction and stopped paying for a while that is ;))

Are you looking to go work for them?

RBC stands for Royal Bank of Canada, that's about all I know and I don't think it's really considered 'insider info' :)

QUOTED IMAGE

Gold on black is classy, but gold on white loses the impact IMO.

But then do you really need the "Photographer" at the bottom. Just your name should suffice, I think.
