I'm looking for a place where I can create a custom designed rubber stamp, where I can upload my logo and they will make it. It would be for stamping my wedding DVDs, packaging, envelopes, etc.

Any ideas? I've searched but haven't found anything too promising.

Thanks!

You're in DC? Try an office supply store or printing company. More important than where you get it is making sure that the ink you use will work with all the media that you want to use it on. For instance, some inks take forever to dry on the back of some prints.

Try this site: http://www.simonstamp.com/ (external link) prices seem reasonable.

I've used vistaprint.com for business cards and stamps.

Lots of legit free offers after your first order and their prices are pretty good.

What size is that if you don't mind me asking?

Love your design btw, i was thinking of getting a better one since my current one is rather plain, but i would definitely add my information to it though, phone/email at the least.

Glad you guys like my stamps :)

Don't remember what size they are - they measure 3" across the long edge of the stamping surface though, and I got a 2" stamp with my name/address/phone that I use for both business and personal stuff. As for the font for my logo - wish I knew, I used 99Designs and never asked the designer that made it.

Try an office supply store

Most of the office supply stores nowadays sell the self-inking type of stamps. Use great caution with those. I have not found one yet that did not smear, even after multiple days to dry.

They are especially problematic if used on the back of prints. The prints, when packaged together (like rolled up in a tube) can smear ink from the back of one to the front of another.

Wherever you get it, get an old style rubber stamp with some sort of permanent ink pad.

Has anyone used the stamps on the back of photographs? If so, how is the drying time and are there any smearing issues?

Thank you.

I've gotten one rubber stamp from Vistaprint and wasn't very happy with it - smaller than expected, and the raised stamp is not tall enough to prevent the surrounding areas from also inking.

...the price was right, though :/
