generally for photographers they go by their name to identify themselves or use a made up name, like a random example XTREME-MOTION Photography, or whatever.

I wanted to take the next step, to establish a name I can stick by and make a website. For the last 3 years or so I've just been using my name as a watermark and using flickr to advetise or showcase my pictures.

Just wanted to see if there is any benefits with using some other kind of name to go by and would it be more professional?

I've been having this delimma for the last couple of years but just end up sticking with my name to advertise my work.

I use the city name for my business name. I would rather use my name. But it so happens that my name is mispronounced 90% of the time and doesn't have a ring to it. It's really up to you what gives you the most confidence to run your business. Don't over think it. I toiled over that very subject myself. Good luck.

I shoot Canon's
1DX II, Canon 7D Gripped, 5D3, 24-70L II, 70-200L 2.8 IS Mk I, 85 1.8, Pocket Wizard II triggers, assorted speedlites and modifiers, 580EX, 580EXII, YN560's (6 or so) 50 1.4, t/c 1.4 MkII
