The Mad Pianist

I'm starting to really get in to photoshop composites. Tell me if you think I'm overdoing it and what could be better. Also I repeated the sheet music on the floor is it noticeable? And finally, I've had people tell me my photos are too dark which leads me to think my monitor's brightness is not set well.

Tighter crop would work better for me.

I'd only recommend a tighter crop because the sheet music on the floor is hardly noticable. On a related note, bringing up the light on the floor just a tad would be pretty awesome, really add to the craziness effect you're going for IMO.

The overall darkness of the photo is perfectly fine, I think, but if you want and element to be noticed, it has to be bright - eyes like brightness

If you hadn't mentioned it I would not have suspected a composite. So it works.

too much dead space at the bottom, would have worked better on topish. Also, don't like the subjects positioning or face.

Overall, I like it! The lighting works here, but I wouldn't have even noticed that there was sheet music on the floor if you hadn't said it because it is so dark.

for me, the Shadow on his face from his glasses is distracting.. if it were me I would repair that shadow with photoshop, but I like the image. Really cool

Thank you all so much! I do agree with the tighter crop suggestions. I will reshoot with a light on the floor to see how the shot will look, as I do want more focus on the sheet music on the ground.

Also I never noticed the shadow from the glasses haha, but now that its pointed out, its really bugging me too, so I will repair it!

i think over-all its a great shot though I really like it!

I disagree with Cropping tighter. I think the negative space works with this particular shot.

A tighter crop would help, otherwise there is a large amount of dark that overwhelms the rest of the photo.

As a portrait it's pretty cool.
