I was at a training session of the Yukon Schutzhund Association yesterday and managed to take this photo. I only had my 24-105, and even with flash it was not quite good enough. And while I thought I had a good focus, doggie was quicker than anticipated. Nonetheless, this should give you a good idea of what the business end of a dog looks like during an attack…

Thanks for your comments. Well, it is actually a "she," and pet her I did--after the training session was over and she had calmed down. But I must admit that watching her in the viewfinder and trying to concentrate on taking the shot was somewhat scary and difficult. Those dogs are amazing animals, and this one has all kinds of training, from obedience to companion dog to "good neighbor" to Schutzhund.

I will try to get out in the summer when the association does the training outside and hope to get some better shots.

Julius

^ It sounded violent, too. I certain would not want to be the "bad guy" when confronted by the dogs I saw that evening!!
