This was my first time actually going out and shooting portraits, using my little cousin as my subject.

Any and all C&C would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think these are great shots considering it was your first time. I think in #4 it would have been more interesting playing around with the DOF, I think in #2 a different angle would have helped, and the last one I would have gotten a little bit closer to the subject. The best ones are 1 and 5 to me. I'm an amateur so take this with a grain of salt.

I like 1 and 5.
I like 1 coz the pose looks really natural. I like the DOF and lighting on 5. Although, a little softer light and at a different lighting angle would possibly look awesome.

Thank you to the both of you for taking time out to comment! Will definitely take suggestions and run with them.

The last photo, I really didn't know how to compose it.. All I knew was how I wanted to pose him. But then I wasn't sure what to do for the background. Didn't think I wanted to cut out the "Pacific".

Lots of lurking/reading on this great forum. =)

I still have a ton to learn though. I've been self taught (well, with the help of you all) from the beginning.
