cloudFTP - what intrigue me the most is their statement saying you can connect any USB with mass storage capability to view it contents.

so does this mean, theoretically this can be connected to any dSLR to view the contents of its memory card while shooting??

can't wait for someone to test it :O)

here is the link (external link) to the article

I don't think that's what it means. DSLRs typically aren't recognized as mass storage devices. I know my little old canon point and shoot wouldn't do that.

No, but if you took the Memory card out of the camera and inserted it into a card reader then YES, but going through the camera via a usb cable NO. Cause the camera will act like a firewall with no adjustments at all. Try writing to the memory card while it is still in the camera threw a usb cable, you can't, you have to eliminate the camera and write straight to the card itself.

Now if you can shoot tethered to a HDD that is connected to that cloudFTP device then your images will transfer from the camera to the HDD on the fly and then from the HDD to Cloud via cloudFTP. His you of digital camera is very vague, maybe the lower end point and shoots might work, but not the newer DSLRs. Your card reader route is the best way.
