Heat it in boiling water for one minute.

Actually just heated mine up with my wife's hair dryer for about a minute and quickly got it in.

I just worked them in. Wish I would have thought to heat them up though! Would have made it a lot easier! lol

It's in the instructions... "Adapt-its can be softened in hot water to make insertion easier on tighter connection areas."

Some cameras, some lenses, plenty of gaffer's tape and beer.

I got a set of these after Jay ("tvphotog") recommended them. They are great! Unobtrusive little things, and tough as nails. They let me connect my Wapiti strap so that it can be removed from the camera quickly.

Yeah, that! ...after heating in hot water as per the "rules" on the package.

I just got a pair of these and I am looking for a way to attach my wapiti strap to the adapts-its connector.

I saw someone has a picture with some-kind of metal quick-release hook attached between the strap and the adapts-its connector, but could not find it.

Can someone point me to the right direction?

Look for OpTech System connectors. THere's a set that has carabiner hooks at the ends. You need an OpTech strap, though.

Thanks Jay for the pointer. I really like my Wapiti strap though and I'd like to keep using it.
I found what I was referring to after doing a search.

I am looking for that metal quick release hook. Anyone have idea what it is?
I'll try to PM JohnJ80 to find out.

How durable are these things? Any sign of wear after long use? Would it work with a L-plate?
