LOL...I'm sure everyone who's homesick feels this way about wherever it is they happen to find themselves in comparison to wherever they are from. I'm in Northern VA, and there are times I have felt the same way. Then again I've been to Maryland a few times and I agree that you may be correct with your assessment. AngryCorgi

One might go so far as to simply say "compared to Texas, _______ SUCKS...just fill in the blank!" ![]() Although, I wouldn't put Brazil* in that blank! ![]() *just in case my wife reads this! On a side note, I think I could make a case for the phrase "compared to _______, NYC SUCKS...just fill in the blank!" as well! AngryCorgi

If you like boring farms and plain, flat land... Texas has tons of that! ![]() When I think about Texas, I reflect on the hill country and the Comal River and similar places I liked to spend vacation time. But yeah, like 95% flat and featureless. It's just that you have to really work for it sometimes. It's not "open the door and shoot magnificent scenes" like in other states (California, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, etc..) I do find Texas challenging though and I've enjoyed the last two years shooting here. You know...us Texans acknowledge this issue and do our best to create alternative realities worth shooting...go see the Dallas World Aquarium for instance. AngryCorgi
