You sound like a glutton for punishment.

I wouldn't say glutton, but I'll take it if necessary.

I've yet to find special bonus content I couldn't get later, for free (GOTY editions). I was all over getting the first release of dragon age because it had the Karn Golem content that wouldn't be provided later--but guess what, I was able to buy the GOTY edition a year later with it all in there for less than half what I originally paid.

Same thing with Arkham City and the exclusive costumes content--in a year when the GOTY comes out, it'll all be in there anyhow...

I dont generally wait thats why..I buy stuff when it comes out if im interested, if im not, its doubtful ill ever play it

Oh I'm man enough:cool:

I would need to slap a 2X TC on the 300 anyways so I mine as well get a longer lens. And the weight does not bother me at all I'm on a tripod at all times;)

What's a BB?

A real man handholds

If you do nothing but tripod shooting, then get a 400 2.8 non-IS or a 500 4 non-IS for $3000. Not like you'd miss the stabilization anyhow.

Dad will not let me get a lens I can't send into canon to get it fixed.

I have a glut of games that are on my backlog :p:p And I'll probably never get around to half of them. I find it unnecessary to get games at launch. I know game companies and retailers depend on that early income, but it doesn't make sense.

Check with your family insurance company. See if they offer a personal articles insurance plan for non-professionals up to $10,000. Make sure it covers mechanical and electrical failures. Give them the lens for reimbursement if it ever dies.

Plenty of people buy those non-serviceable lenses and are properly protected.

Gawd, I hope you don't get into Warcraft. That game has destroyed one too many lives. I got completely hooked on that myself for about a year. I absolutely loved the original KOTOR (1&2), but I refuse to pick up the new MMO for fear of being addicted to it.

Maybe you should find out the reasoning behind that response, instead of just going with it.

Think of it this way--you get a serviceable lens, which you can pay to have fixed, but you're not covered in the event of theft or general damage (unless it was stolen from the house or car). A personal article insurance policy meanwhile, which would be about $150 a year, would cover you against things like that. When you go out shooting with your big expensive lens, you don't have to continually look over your shoulder worrying whether someone is going to rob you.

you have chapel too?! God.. I hate chapel. So boring and every week its the same stupid boring routine

But the 50 is probably one of the best lengths especially for shoosting in school!
