Then you want the FX-5. The 430ex is like 75% weaker than the 580ex, and has slower recycle times--the 430 also doesn't allow for an external battery pack, which can reduce recycle. I'd recommend upgrading to a 580ex/580exII if you really want to go this route.

i'd like one but i dont use much flash so the 430 will do for now. i want it for more power and master+slave combo. was thinking of going the cheap route and get a 3rd party but i dunno....
