I have been selling it at $600... I think that's pretty cheap, I am just waiting for somebody to make an offer too hehe. Its just that there are very few people who need FX UWA lenses here and they could get the Tokina 11-16 for about the same price or other UWA lens for a bit cheaper

Try to price it even lower. Would it hurt you take a hit if it was $500-550?

You don't need to take a class to learn enough to build your own computer.

Also, supercomputers aren't cooled with Dry Ice... People do use Dry Ice, Liquid Nitrogen and Liquid Helium to cool high performance desktop machines when they are benchmarking. :p

Haha I'm a noob when it comes to computers.. I knew they cooled it with something.

I guess I could just learn how to build my own computer on my own but I just don't have the $$ for it right now. I'm sure I can build one for <$1000 that runs better than the iMac I'm on right now though.

I don't think you need to study it in a school... you can probably learn about it off the internet, it would be more fun if you have the time

I only need a quick response PC, I am not a heavy user but a heavy multitasker...I usually open 10 or so programs at any one time :lol: but most are light so I think I really only need big ram and fast HDD...other than that I am fine with a slow processor :lol;

See I like to also play games - well used to but I can't download them on the Mac cause I don't want to screw the mac up as I don't think it has a fast enough processor but if I did I'm pretty sure my mom would in fact kill me. Either way, last time I downloaded a game onto my windows computer it just deaded itself thanks to it's lagginess and it just couldn't run a game

Well you're surrounded by several people who know quite a bit about computers. If you want to know anything, just ask.

Yeah, games can get tricky. Some do a good job of scaling their performance over machines, where running low settings is way easier than running high. Other games have a hard time optimizing themselves and running at lower settings which causes a bunch of issues.

Nice! :) well I wouldn't call myself a total n00b with computers but I could definitely have a ton more knowledge on them. First and foremost I would love to start writing code and building websites but I guess that's different? I just don't have money to spend on computers at the moment.

HUGE! Haha, well I was 2 summers ago, then I spent all my money on jeans and now photo equipment. But ones I get that 5Dc I think I am going to get another pair of headphones.

I take it you're not?

Code is very different from hardware... I've wanted to but never really got into the programming side of things.

I have some nicer headphones, Sennheiser HD555 cans for at home and Klipsch Image S4's for IEM's... and I know there are differences in sound quality as you go up, but I just could never justify $1000 Cans... I was tempted to pick up some $500-600 custom molded IEM's... but yeah never going to happen. :p

It's just too much of a pain in the ass... Once you get the nice cans in order to utilize them properly you have to make sure everything is amped properly, and then you have to make sure your source is high quality, etc etc...

not really...coz If I only want to get the 70-300mm from it then its no problem pricing it a bit lower...I have a guy interested in my lens now so let's see what happens :D

I still have my 2x TCIII to sell or trade for the 70-300mm too hehe...

well then don't buy a mac...build a PC if you want to play games hehe

did I tell you I started using computers when I was like 8-10 years old? I used to type in Wordstar and Lotus  even learned a few Dbase programming...

but when I got to college I can't grasp programming at all...Turbo C and Pascal C and those neuro programming whatsoever, I failed on my last programming subject and basically had to transfer to a non engineering course :( I was just 1 year shy of graduation :(

YEah I know code is totally different than hardware. I personally would rather learn that then how to build computers for my immense application of hacking  No but I'm going to take intro to programming and then AP programming next year.

As for headphones... well most I've spent was $600 - I started out with crap headphones found head-fi, and then I went through probably 10 pairs of headphones that summer just trying out each pair. Out of those pairs the only pairs I REALLY liked were Denon D5000s, JH Audio JH-13s, and my beloved Weston 3's.

I'm looking into those Grados now though - I wouldn't call myself the most discriminating audiophile simply because I haven't heard the best clarity music yet. I'm used to the insane bass response of my Westones and to be honest to pay $500 for an amp is pretty ridiculous. I just hope I'm rich when I get older  or rich enough to afford my hobbies!

yeah so I stayed away as far as possible from programming and ended up in Human Resource Management

now looking at jobs available overseas... there are a lot of perks in being an Engineer, how I wish I graduated as one :(

right now I categorize myself as mediocre in about everything regarding computer  I have some ideas but I am always second guessing myself that's why I ask a lot of questions here

You mean your $500 headphones aren't running into a $10,000 Tube Amp that is connected to a $20,000 turntable with a $5000 cartridge?!?!! HOW DARE YOU!

Yeah, I started off as Aerospace engineering, there are plenty of times I wish I had stuck with it.

Ah well.
