LOL, I had to. A red flag just goes off when I hear some person want to buy a 1Ds2 for sports and a 70-200 + a 2x TC :p

I would try to stick to the 1.4. The 2.0 really puts a pounding on the IQ.

Well if compared to the 7D with just the 70-200 versus the 1.4 or 2.0 with the 70-200 + 1DsII and IQ on the 7D is better I should just consider the 7D then.

Edit: thing is that during the winter when lets say I wanna shoot basketball I'm going to need the FF then cause 70-200 will be way too long.

True true.. I don't know I just realized that a 7D would make things a lot more cheaper then. I will be selling my 35L though eventually when the time comes so I can buy whatever camera I decide on and the 70-200.

I don't think he's treating me unfairly.. but I was just approached by him and he asked me if I could shoot for him and he'd hire me. But a 1DIV is too much money for me, I would be willing to shell out the same amount for a 5DMK II but nothing more really.

Omar will sell his gripped 7d for about 1K in a fire sale. ;)

I am tempted on like a daily basis to buy a second 7D, I just love em. I am waiting on the new 5D3/5Dx tho.

Going with the 7D you also gain a stop over the 1Ds II + 1.4 + 70-200. :)

That can be a huge deal when you're shooting indoor sports like Basketball.

Seriously? What about ISO? I know the 1DsII but I'm assuming the 7D has better ISO reduction? If I go with 7D then I might as well sell off the 5Dc once I have enough save up for the 5DII then.

I know my 85 was having some trouble on the 7D though with focusing.

Yes.. with the 1.4x TC you lose a stop, with the 2x TC you lose two stops.

Naw, by the time you have the money for a 5D2, the 5D3 will be out, save up for that :p

Man I would rather just get the D800 then cause from the rumors the D800 is going to be cheaper than the 5D3! Seriously though my mom sat me down and had a long talk on why I have to stop spending money on cameras  so this all has to be done discreetly.

How is buying one 5D3 less discrete than buying a D800 + all those nikon lenses?
