All,

i currently shoot with a 7D and looking into some nice glass. I already have a 70-200mm F2.8/L IS and here are the other two lenses im looking at:

35mm F1.4/L
or
24-70mm F2.8/L

i was hoping people would give their input on which would be best to get!

i shoot mainly landscapes and trains and do some weddings.

Thanks a bunch!
Dave

Does your two choices have to be L glass?

If yes I would go for the 24-70 for the versatility when doing weddings.
If not then I would say pick up the Canon 17-55 IS F/2.8

thanks for the input...i would like to get more L glass if possible. i have decided instead of getting a 5d mk2 i would spend more money on lenses and battery grips, intervalometer, etc.

I wouldn't get the 35L on crop, as Sigma 30 is comparable to 35L on crop for one third of a price.

ff is a totally different story.

I agree with others, get the 17-55. It's the best general purpose zoom for crop.

Also if you mainly shoot landscape and wedding, why hang on to the 7D? Sell it and go ff.

But the Canon is superior to the Sigma....not to say much, just AF consistency alone~!
