I shot on Friday and Saturday. Here are a few quick shots before I start editing the whole batch. This year's weather was perfect and the race was exciting to the end.

Great shots! I especially like the DP car coming at you in the corner.

Thanks guys. I talked to the lizard people, and said that the paint scheme makes our job easy - must have been a photographer who did it. They told me the name of their graphic designer, and I bet he is also a photographer.

Nice shots.

Haven't been back to the Rolex since around 92' , plan on making it next year.

Great race , hard to imagine after 23 hours 1st & 2nd were within 10 seconds of each other.

How did you get the black background in 5 and 6? It looks out of place.

Kurt, it's a tire wall. I used the levels and exposure sliders in Aperture to completely black it out. The actual background in turn 5 looks far worse, which you know if you've shot there. If you haven't, then you are a good observer. These photos are only for web galleries for our paper's site, so exact detail is not too critical.

Oh ok. I thought it was a tire wall but the complete blackness threw me off. Nice stuff!
