1D MkIII Error 1?

Hi,

I understand this to be a connection between camera and lens issue - but I've seen one for sale at a decentish price with the following comment:

When there is no lens on the body and a picture is taken, it displays 'Error 01'. It does however work perfectly when a lens is attached

Any idea what this might mean, what it could indicate or if theres a simple fix?

I just packed my 1D3 away and really don't feel like digging it out again, but I guess someone with a 1D3 could just take their lens off and rattle off a test shot, maybe all 1D3s do that with no lens?
