So they me what you guys think,sharpness etc.They are about the best I've be able to produce with this combo and Im lusting over a big prime but have told myself to utilize my bird blind for now.Thanks for looking,Pete

Must have been very dark , looking at your exif very high ISO to just get 1/200th and 1/400th, I think the Heron and the Grosbeak is the sharpest of the bunch. Good shots all .........

Your right Andrew a vey dark rainy day. Looks like they lost some sharpness transferring them here too.

Hey no worries guys they were cropped quite a bit and you wont hurt my feelings Id rather hear what you see as opposed to the "nice shot" mantra. We all have different monitors so that's probably some of it,that and my aging eyes...lol.
Making some adjustments and I'll repost.

It's alright.....all in fun while I await Tuesday's delivery!

You're second rendition looks a whole lot better as far as apparent sharpness of focus of the main subject. The background has just a hint of noise, but not unbearable for ISO1600. Knowing the lens you were using, I'm guessing that this is still about 50% or so of the original image so all in all the background noise is pretty well controlled.

pretty sharp images, not sure if they could be sharper, you got some kickass gear, you should treat yourself to a big prime like the 500 or 600. It seems like it would be the next step, techs on all of them look good

Thanks for the helpful eye Steve and yes 50 t0 60%. Im using a somewhat dated Apple computer so it may be time for modernization.Hope all goes well Tuesday,Im thinking it will!
